We plan the van's position with the development's management where needed and use trolleys for the apartment blocks.
School run on Chamberlain Road
Jordanhill School draws pupils from across the city and the streets around it, particularly Chamberlain Road and Southbrae Drive, are gridlocked from about 8.15 to 9.00 and again from 3.00 to 3.45 during term. We start earlier or later to keep the van out of that, and we will always mention it if your address is within a few hundred yards of the school.
Loft rooms and dormer extensions
Most of the 1930s bungalows on Woodend Drive, Munro Road and the streets around Jordanhill station have been extended upwards, which means big beds and wardrobes in rooms reached by a steep, turning stair. We dismantle what needs dismantling, protect the stair walls and check before the day that the loft hatch is not the only route.
Getting out of Jordanhill
Balshagray Avenue takes you to the Clyde Tunnel in five minutes, which makes Southside and airport-direction moves quick, and Anniesland Cross puts you on Great Western Road for the city or the Switchback Road for Bearsden.
