Renfrew Removals
Moves across Renfrew, from the old town centre and Ferry Village on the Clyde to Braehead and the Hillington side.

Renfrew sits on the south bank of the Clyde between Braehead and Glasgow Airport, and its housing splits neatly into old and new. The old part is the town centre around Hairst Street, Canal Street and Renfrew Cross, with stone tenements, older terraces and the Victorian villas on Paisley Road and Inchinnan Road. The new part is Ferry Village on the riverside at the old ferry slip, and the apartment blocks and townhouses that have grown up along King's Inch Road beside Braehead.
Removals in Renfrew are rarely difficult once you know the layout. The town centre has some short-stay bays and a one-way section around the Cross, the Ferry Village blocks have lifts and underground parking with height limits that rule out a Luton, and the 1950s and 60s semis in Kirklandneuk and Moorpark have driveways and wide streets.
As a Renfrew removal company working from the city centre we come out along the M8 to Junction 26 at Hillington, which is about 20 minutes. Peter can price a Renfrew move over the phone from the address and a room-by-room list.
Moving in Renfrew: what we know
Ferry Village and the riverside flats
Ferry Village, at the end of Ferry Road beside the old Renfrew ferry slip, is a modern development of apartments and townhouses looking across to Yoker. The blocks have lifts, which helps, but the underground car parks have height barriers that keep our vans out, so we work from the street entrances and use the lift to move everything in stages. Loading bays are limited, and a quick word with the factor before the day usually sorts access to the lobby.
The town centre and Renfrew Cross
Around Hairst Street, Canal Street and High Street the housing is older: stone tenements, some with shops below, and terraces of council-built flats from the 1930s. Renfrew Cross has a short one-way section and limited-wait bays, so we keep the van on a side street and carry. The tenement closes are shorter than Glasgow's, usually two or three storeys, and the stairs are fairly generous. Paisley Road out of the Cross has bus stops and clearways to work around.
Braehead, King's Inch Road and the new bridge
The flats along King's Inch Road and around Braehead shopping centre are newer blocks with communal entrances, lifts and allocated bays. Traffic around Braehead itself is heavy at weekends and on the run up to Christmas, so we avoid Saturday afternoons for moves nearby. The Renfrew Bridge across the Clyde to Yoker gives a direct route to the West End and Clydebank without going round by the Clyde Tunnel, which has shortened a lot of our cross-river moves.
Kirklandneuk, Moorpark and the airport side
West of the town centre, Kirklandneuk and Moorpark are post-war estates of semis, terraces and four-in-a-block flats with gardens front and back. Streets are wide and driveways common, so the van goes straight to the door. Being under the airport flight path makes no difference to a move, but the airport traffic on Inchinnan Road and the M8 at Junction 28 can slow the journey in the morning, so we allow for it in the timing.
