FAQ
Removals questions, answered honestly
Everything people ask Peter before they book. If your question isn’t here, call or message and we’ll answer it properly.
How much do removals cost in Glasgow?
Local Glasgow moves start from £200 for a studio or one-bedroom flat, from £300 for two bedrooms and from £500 for three-bedroom homes. Small office moves start from £200. Stairs, parking, packing, dismantling and distance all affect the final figure, which we confirm in writing before you book. The instant estimate on our prices page gives you a range in seconds.
How quickly can you move me?
Often within a few days for smaller moves, and we regularly help with short-notice jobs when a date of entry moves. For Fridays, month-ends and the summer we recommend booking two to three weeks ahead. Call Peter to check availability for your date.
Do you cover tenement flats with no lift?
Yes. A large share of our work is tenement flats in the West End, Southside and East End. We measure awkward pieces, protect the close walls, use stair-safe carrying techniques and dismantle furniture where it will not make the turns.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Glasgow plus the surrounding towns including Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs, Giffnock, Clarkston, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride, Paisley and Renfrew. We also do longer moves across Scotland and to England on request.
Can you help with packing?
Yes. Choose full packing, where we pack everything the day before, or partial packing for kitchens, fragile items and awkward rooms. We bring boxes, tape, paper and wardrobe boxes so clothes stay on hangers.
Is my furniture insured during the move?
Goods in transit cover is available for every move. Tell Peter about any high-value items when you request your quote so the right cover is in place.
What about parking for the van in Glasgow?
In controlled parking zones we recommend applying to Glasgow City Council for a parking bay suspension a couple of weeks ahead. Peter will tell you if your street needs one and what to ask for. Elsewhere we plan the closest safe loading point.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, wardrobes, tables and flat-pack furniture can be dismantled at the old address and rebuilt at the new one. Let us know in the quote form so the time is allowed for.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or cash on completion. We confirm the agreed price in writing beforehand so there are no surprises on the day.
What if my date of entry changes?
It happens often in Scotland. Tell us as soon as you know and we will do our best to shift your booking. We keep flexibility in the diary around Fridays and month-ends for exactly this reason.
