Privacy policy

Last updated 30 September 2026

Clyde Movers Glasgow (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it. It applies to this website (https://clydemovers.co.uk) and to the removals services we provide.

Who we are

Clyde Movers Glasgow, 48 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1BP. The data controller is the business owner, Peter. You can contact us at clydemoversglasgow@gmail.com or on 07481 469221.

What we collect

  • Enquiry and quote details you give us through our forms, by phone, WhatsApp or email: your name, email address, phone number, postcodes, property details, moving dates and anything else you tell us about the move.
  • Booking information if you go ahead: addresses, inventory, access notes and payment records.
  • Technical data collected automatically when you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes this to deliver the site securely.
  • Anti-spam data: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile may process limited device and browser information to decide whether a visitor is human. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide a quote (our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made).
  • To plan, carry out and invoice your move (performance of a contract).
  • To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices (legal obligation).
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for marketing lists. We may occasionally contact you about a move you have enquired about, and nothing more.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the business: our email delivery provider (Resend) to send form notifications and confirmations, our website host (Vercel), Cloudflare for spam protection, and where relevant our goods-in-transit insurer. Each acts under contract and only for the purposes above. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EEA except through these providers, who have appropriate safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Booking and invoice records are kept for six years to meet accounting requirements. Server logs are retained by our host for a short period for security.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email clydemoversglasgow@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
